The Five Eras of Coding With AI
How working with AI went from copy and paste prompts to an autonomous loop, and the one era that is starting now.

I stopped prompting Claude and started running a loop. Every ten minutes it reads my GitHub issues, pulls the oldest todo, builds it, and opens a PR. The board is the interface now, not the chat.
My Claude Code is not a chatbot. It is an engineering pipeline with composable commands, persistent memory, and a spec driven build loop that runs autonomously.
When software gets cheaper to build, demand does not shrink. It explodes. What that means for engineers.
When you cannot see the road, do not pick one and sprint. Build just enough to learn, then decide.
AI will not replace software engineers. It changes what we build, not whether we need builders.
